STAR MATCH PREVIEW - CHELSEA VS MANCHESTER CITY

The first real test for the new interim manager of Chelsea comes up tomorrow at Stamford Bridge. The blues from the other half of Manchester will be seeking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to 13, so Benitez has his work cut out for him when he tries to break the unbeaten run of Man City and acquire three vital points in the process.
Possible Lineup
Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovich, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Ramirez, Mata, Hazard,Oscar and Torres.
Manchester City: Hart, Clichy, Nastasic, Maicon, Y.Toure, Barry, Silva, Nasri, Aguero and Tevez.
Fernando Torres could see his reunification with his old boss from Liverpool as motivation to pick up his form of old that convinced Chelsea to pay 50,000,000 Pounds for his signature. John Terry misses this game with a knee injury he picked during the premier league game game against liverpool while Frank Lampard remains confined to the bench with the form of Ramirez leaving no space for him in the team. Balotelli remains sidelined with a back injury which has forced him out of the last two games while Micah Richards and Jack Rodwell also miss out on this encounter through knee and hamstring injuries respectively.
Rafa Benitez’s mission will be to overturn Chelsea’s poor form in November which has seen them go four league games without a win; dropping three points at Stamford Bridge will mean Chelsea experience their worst league run since December 2010.
The attacking trio of Mata, Oscar and Hazard will definitely run riot at the the back line of City’s defense that has looked shaky this season even if it has conceded just 10 goals mostly due to the heroics of Joe Hart at the goal post. Kompany especially will be hoping he can run off the knock he picked up against Real Madrid and be in top form for this dicey encounter at the bridge. Don’t expect Man City to come with anything less than an explosive line up that could include the Argentinean duo of Aguero and Tevez who have been scoring goals at will; while Dzeko waits on the bench to pounce on Chelsea in the second half.
This could be a match that will be decided entirely in midfield that boast two teams with the most effective service men in the English Premier League.
My prediction: Chelsea 2- Manchester City 1
