“Ghen Ghen Love” is one hell of a monster record - an infectious bass-heavy Pop tune laced with lush synths and thumping drum patterns that will not only leave your heads bopping and your feet moving in the clubs but be prepared to have this single take over your radio waves in the coming weeks and months.. Spotiks had an up close and personal interview with her, and here is what she told us about herself.

My names are Yemi Alade Eberechi; my dad is from Ondo State and my mum is from Abia State.
2. When did you realize it is music you wanted to do?
After I won the peak talent show in 2009
3. Best performance you ever did and where?
I regard every performance I do as the best; I always give my all.
4. How would you describe working with Eldee D Don?
It was Exciting and a lot of Work especially seeing as he is a veteran and someone I respect.

Three
6. Any awards?
Yes, I have two for best female vocalist and 3 nominations
7. Is Yemi Alade Single?
(Laughs) Are you?
8. Rumour had it that you had an affair with Eldee D Don in the past and you both have a son together, how true is this?
No way!
9. Who are your top 5 Nigerian Artists?
Tuface, Wizkid, Blackmagic, Sasha P and Eva
10. Your top 5 Nigerian producers?
Ah! OJB Jezreel, Fliptyce, Ekelly, El emcee, Charlie X
11. Most embarrassing moments?
I don’t have that many
12. You are of the fast rising artistes in Nigeria, how do u feel being in that category?
Feels good to be appreciated! I am grateful.
13. What do your parents think about your music career?
They've been in support from day one; I am blessed to have parents like that.
14. You’ve done several collaborations, which would you say is your best and why?
I have a song with Eva, it is yet to released though but it's wicked! Its true music with a splash of hip hop and dancehall!
15. You are a very pretty lady, and we know guys won't take their eyes off you, how do you handle your male fans?
They are awesome people, they are always well behaved, It feels good having understanding fans like that.
16. What do you have planned for your fans in 2013… anything new?
Watch out for my album ooo....na ghenghen!
17. Five years from now, where do u see yourself?
In five years by God's grace when an average music lover in Africa is asked to name his or her favourite top 5 artistes, (speaking pidgin) na my name dem go holla first.
