UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH DNA (EX CONTESTANT OF THE GLO X FACTOR REALITY SHOW)

They are young talented twins that have passion for Music; they got into the top 8 in the Glo X Factor competition and they are still keeping it real. Spotiks Blog had an up close and personal chat with them, and they shared their experience on how the Glo X Factor reality show impacted a lot in their Lives and what Nigerians should expect from them.

1.      LET'S MEET U GUYS; WHAT ARE YOUR NAMES?
I'm clinton and I'm blair. DNA actually stands for the blood DNA that binds both of us together Musically and biologically!..we both have the same DNA for what we do.
2.      WHERE ARE YOU GUYS FROM?
We are from Imo State Nigeria.
3.      DID YOU GUYS EVER SEE THIS MUSIC BUSINESS COMING OR IS IT JUST THE LOVE FOR MUSIC?
Actually we did see the music business coming up for us sooner or later because we started singing at a very tender age. As a group comprising of us and some of our friends in secondary school and then we moved on to the church choir which gave us a little grooming at that stage.....coupled with the fact that we always saw some of our best artists like P-square, Chris Brown, late M.J, Usher and many more doing their thing...all these gave us a brighter picture about getting into the industry. We do it all for the love of the music!
4.      WHAT WAS IT LIKE ON THE GLO X FACTOR FOR U GUYS?
First of all we would love to say a big thank you to Globacom limited for giving us the opportunity to be part of Glo X Factor...being on X-factor was a life changer for us!..it brought out what we thought we never had in us!..it trained us for the real world we are about to face!..with a lot of voice coaching dance coaching, stage movement coaching and even psychological mentoring; it was a fun experience that we both would never forget. We are grateful to God.

5.      WHILE ON THE GLO X FACTOR, WHICH CONTESTANT WOULD YOU SAY WAS A CHALLENGE FOR YOU BOYS?
Honestly I would say pheel and mummy pat…because they have well groomed voices...no be today oh..Lol.
6.      WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE JUDGES OF THE GLO X FACTOR (REGGIE ROCKSTONE, MI AND ONYEKA OWENU): FAIR, STRICT OR OKAY?
Our judges were really fair, strict and ok…hahaha...but seriously I think they are the best you could ever have on any musical reality show!...but our Mentor Reggie Rockstone was mostly fair at every judgment.
7.      DID YOU BOYS AT ANY POINT WANTED TO GIVE UP THE REALITY SHOW?
Never! we have always been born fighters from day one.. Though we got scared sometimes in the show but never had it in mind to give up…even if  we didn't go far in the show, we won't still quit the race, we will get there!
8.      THE FEW TIMES I WATCHED THE SHOW, YOUR PERFORMANCE WAS GOOD, BUT YOUR FAN BASE IS SOMETHING ELSE. THEY WERE VERY SUPPORTIVE. HOW DID YOU GUYS DO THAT?
I think its God and our talent!...we couldn't have done it without them.

9.      WHATS’ YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD?
Woah!..do we have any favourite food?...uhmmm...I think any Good and tasty meal is our favorite food!
10.  WHO ARE YOUR TOP 5 NAIJA ARTIST?
Ummm, we’ll say…Banky W, PSquare, Dare Art Alade, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage.
11. YOU WERE WITH P-SQUARE, BURNA BOY AND SOME OTHER GREAT ACTS ON STAGE AT THE GLO SHOW IN ABUJA, HOW WAS THE EXPERIENCE FOR YOU?
It was a very wonderful and amazing experience getting to network and socialize with Big names in the music scene… especially when we met P-square, it was like we dreamt that we were in year 2082 or something...Lol…we are not going to forget that any time soon.

12.  MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
When we both got sent out of stage by MI after singing just the first line of shaggy's angel at the boot camp stage on X factor…we wanted to just enter the Ground and just chill there till Lord knows when!
13. WHICH ARTIST SHOULD WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE A COLLABORATION WITH?
Hopefully M.I, Bez, Burna boy and Wizkid.
14. WHEN YOU GUYS WERE EVICTED FROM THE GLO XFACTOR, RUMOUR HAD IT THAT YOU BOTH DIDN'T GIVE YOUR BEST PERFORMANCE; HOW TRUE?
Well honestly, I would tell you that we didn't even do half of what we practiced back stage before that performance, we were so down and demoralized after we heard we were out of the show! So we couldn't concentrate on anything....We are human beings and Young ones for that matter but that isn’t an excuse.

15. AS A PUBLIC FIGURE, WHAT WILL YOU BOYS NOT BE CAUGHT DOING?
Fighting in public or showcasing any form of Anger towards anyone.
16. WHO ARE YOUR ROLE MODELS?
You’ve heard these names severally. GOD, Late M.J, P-Square, 2face, Justin    Bieber, Usher, etc.

Our fans and supporters should expect three major hit jams from us this year; we    are also coming out in a big way…with our own style of music...

18. WE KNOW YOU BOYS ARE HANDSOME, GOOD LOOKING, AND THE GIRLS LOVE YOU. HOW DO YOU HANDLE YOUR FEMALE FANS?
We treat them with a lot of Love and Wisdom but we won't get distracted with that..we may be good looking but fine boys are supposed to make money first. Business before pleasure.
